Lisa Lovell-law
Lisa started her softball playing career on the first softball team to ever win a district championship for Silex High School and to enter the state playoff race in 1977. After college she took her first teaching job at Iberia High School. Her first coaching job started with only having 7 players on the team, with little equipment and a field full of rocks. They ended the season with a 2-4 record. With high hopes and dreams of winning a district championship, her teams fought hard to build a program. Within the first 4 years she saw her team win their first District Championship game. Her program went on and competed in 16 District Championship games over her 33-year career at Iberia and winning 10 titles in that span of her coaching career. Under Lisa’s leadership, Iberia made 1 final four appearance in 2015 were they received a 4th place finish. Lisa was named the Coach of the year for her conference 8 times over her career. Lisa was also honored with having the Iberia Softball field dedicated in her name in 2017.
